06.12.2022 Featured Samuel Eto’o Caught on Camera Assaulting ‘Journalist’ at World Cup

Samuel Eto’o, President of the Cameroonian Football Federation, was caught on camera harassing a man believed to be a journalist after a world cup game ended on Monday.

In the footage shared by La Opinion, a Spanish newspaper, Eto’o was seen attacking the man at the end of the Brazil-South Korea game outside Stadium 974 in Qatar.

Eto’o lashed out at the man, who was holding a camera, then rushed to pin him down after mumbling to fans.

It is unclear what sparked the football star’s reaction, as he was seen minutes before the assault posing for pictures with some fans.

Some Twitter users have alleged that the man Eto’o assaulted is a journalist and that the football star got angry after he was accused of bribing the referee in favor of his home team.

Neither Eto’o nor his agency had reacted to the video at the time of filing this report.
