James Ifeanyi Ezenwali, 52, and Nneji Victor Otamba, 54, two Nigerians, have been arrested in General Trias, Cavite, on Wednesday by the Philippines’ Bureau of Immigration (BI) for violence and verbal abuse.
According to a press statement from the bureau, the Nigerians were arrested following a mission order issued by Jaime Morente, BI Commissioner, after acting on several complaints from members of Trias community.

The press statement revealed that the duo had rented units in the area for almost two years, and was said to be violent and verbally abusive. Investigations showed that both were already overstaying, and upon arrest, they were unable to present their passports, making them undocumented aliens.
“Foreign nationals who are a threat to society are considered undesirable aliens. Our country treats foreigners with hospitality, but once they become a burden to the community because of violence, then they should be deported,” Morente said.
The two will remain in the BI’s facility in Bicutan, Taguig, pending deportation.
