Oluwafemi Tijion Esho, a UK-based Nigerian doctor, has been accused of having an improper emotional relationship that included sexual intercourse with one of his patients by a medical tribunal in Manchester, United Kingdom.

According to the UK Daily Mail, Esho, a cosmetic doctor who had featured on many BBC and ITV programmes, also exchanged a series of X-rated messages with the said patient, a sex worker.

The Nigerian doctor was said to have promised to give the woman botox, an injection administered to patients to prevent their muscles from moving for a limited time, in exchange for sex.

Documents from the tribunal have it that the patient visited the doctor after hearing about a designer lip procedure he usually carried out on his rich clients at his clinics in Harley Street, Wimbledon, Newcastle and Dubai.

After their first appointment in July 2019, the two began interacting on Instagram, and Esho would regularly send her messages that contained “strong sexual contents”.

Esho was said to have later arranged an appointment at his Newcastle clinic ‘because it was quiet’ and then had sex with her there.

The Nigerian doctor was also accused of making inappropriate comments about the patient’s bottom during another appointment, rubbing himself against her and taking his manhood out of his trousers so she could perform sexual acts on him.

The woman accused Esho of taking advantage of “her vulnerable position because he knew her image was important to her and her job”.

Meanwhile, Esho has admitted to four out of the ten charges brought against him, stating that between July 2019 and February 2022, he had indeed behaved inappropriately by exchanging messages with the patient.

He also admitted to having an “improper emotional relationship” with the patient between July 2019 and May 2022, with a remark that his conduct in relation to both allegations was “sexually motivated”.

The tribunal hearing, which is still ongoing, is expected to last for 15 days.
