15.09.2022 Featured Ukraine President Zelensky Involved in Car Accident

The State Investigation Bureau (SIB) of Ukraine has opened an investigation to determine why Volodymyr Zelensky, the country’s president, was involved in a car accident on Wednesday.

According to the Kyiv Independent, a Ukrainian newspaper, SIB said a civilian car had hit the car conveying Zelensky and the accompanying vehicles in Kyiv suburbs. Zelensky was returning from a trip to Ukraine’s retaken territory in Kharkiv on Wednesday when the accident happened.

Sergii Nykyforov, the president’s spokesperson, confirmed Zelensky’s car crash in a statement on Thursday.

“A car collided with a car of the President of Ukraine and escort cars in Kyiv,” Nykyforov wrote.

“Medics accompanying the head of state provided the driver of the legkovika emergency assistance and passed the ambulance.

“The president was examined by a doctor, no serious damage was detected. “All circumstances of the accident will be found out by law enforcement officers.”

Zelenskyy addressed Ukraine on Thursday afternoon with a speech.

“The Ukrainian flag will return to all parts of our country. Just like in the Kharkiv region, Ukrainian warriors will be met in Donbas, in the south, and in Crimea. It will happen, it will definitely happen,” Zelenskyy said.

“I also held a meeting today in Kharkiv regarding the energy situation in the city and the region. We take into account the fact that the terrorist state can resort to any new vile acts.”

He appeared to be unharmed and well during Thursday’s address.
