Investa Nigeria, a digital savings platform, has failed to pay Adedeji Bamidele, a Lagos-based engineer, his N400,000 return on investment (ROI) since 2022.
FIJ earlier reported how Bamidele invested N2 million in the company in September 2021. The Lagos engineer was to get an ROI of N400,000 in September 2022, when his investment would have reached maturity.
However, rather than pay the N400,000 alongside his N2 million capital in 2022, Investa Nigeria only paid him his investment capital.

Investa Nigeria first put Bamidele’s mind at rest with a promise that he would get the money when he contacted them about his ROI.
The company would cease to respond to Bamidele’s several messages and emails from October.
“Investa did not say anything,” Bamidele told FIJ. “They have not contacted me about my ROI, and they have refused to pay my ROI.”

When FIJ contacted Investa Nigeria for comments, the company said it needed more time to sort out the challenges responsible for the delay.
“It is important to note that the user once invested and got his funds back, but our inability to pay his ROI presently is a result of the failure of our investment partner to also pay us the funds invested with them.
“We are still putting pressures and necessary actions in place to make this recovery and we appeal to the customer to kindly give us more time.”
