Rabiatu Mohammed, an Abuja resident, has narrated how Azman Air withheld her N78,000 after cancelling her flight seven months ago.

Mohammed told FIJ that Azman Air cancelled her Abuja-Birnin-Kebbi flight in April with a promise to return her money.

“On April 10, I booked an Abuja-Birnin-Kebbi flight with Azman Air. It was a one-way ticket and it cost me N78,000,” Mohammed said.

“Before I could fly with the airline on the scheduled departure date of April 19, I received a notification from it that my flight had been cancelled.

“After I had received the flight cancellation notification, the airline also promised to make a refund.”

Mohammed told FIJ that she was subsequently sent a refund form to fill by the airline.

“I immediately filled the refund form and sent it back to Azman Air. Since that time, however, I have not heard from the airline,” said Mohammed.

“I have been sending mails to them asking for my money, but none of the airline’s officials would respond to me.

“I also went to Azman Air’s Facebook page to request for my money, but they have since blocked me.

“I don’t know what else to do. It has been seven months since the airline cancelled the flight, and they have refused to return my money.”

FIJ sent an email to Azman Air’s customer care desk for comments on the matter on Friday morning, but it had not been responded to at press time.
