The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has released security features information for differentiating new N200, N500 and N1,000 notes from illegal replicas.

Buhari Sallau, aide of President Muhammadu Buhari, in a Facebook post, shared images containing highlights of unique features for each new note.

This comes amid reports of infiltration of the new Naira notes which became legal tender on December 15.

Security Features on N200 Note:

200 naira new note

Security Features on N500 Note:

500 naira new note

Security Features on N1,000 Note:

1000 naira new note

The CBN asks users of the redesigned notes to look out for portrait watermarks and windowed metallic security threads, among others.
