09.08.2021 news BREAKING: Abductors of Niger Commissioner Demand N500m Ransom

Abductors of Sanni Idris, the Niger State Commissioner for Information, have contacted his kinsmen to demand the sum of N500 million as ransom.

FIJ had reported how Idris was abducted from his hometown in the Tafa Local Government Area of the state on Monday.

The Police had said they were monitoring the abductors, with the hope of rescuing the Commissioner unhurt.

But DailyTrust is reporting that a marathon security meeting presided over by the Deputy Governor just ended at the Government House following the bandits’ demand.

Nigeria, especially the North, is battling mounting insecurity, crimes and killings, with the Federal Government unable to stop the perpetrators.
