02.01.2023 Featured Nigerian Woman Found Dead in UK Lake

Taiwo Balogun, a Nigerian woman resident in the United Kingdom, has been found dead in a lake.

According to Daily Mail, Balogun’s body was discovered at Bluewater shopping centre after she was reported missing for four weeks.

The Met police, in a Tweet on Monday, said they had retrieved her body from the lake in Kent.

“A woman’s body was recovered from a lake near Bluewater Shopping Centre on Friday, December 30. While formal identification awaits, Taiwo Balogun’s family has been informed,” said the police.

“Her death is being treated as unexpected but not suspicious. Our thoughts are with Taiwo’s family.”

Balogun, a 53-year-old mother of four, was reported missing on December 1.

CCTV footage revealed that on the day she went missing, she was last seen at a shop in Crayford Road, Dartford, United Kingdom.
