The founder of “I Reign Christian Ministry”, Bishop Feyi Daniel, has been found guilty of raping a church member and sentenced to life imprisonment by the Lagos High Court in Ikeja.

In 2023, the Bishop was accused of raping a church member in his Lekki home, and in April of that same year, he was arraigned by the Lagos State Government for sexually assaulting two of his church members. During this trial, he pleaded not guilty.

Justice Rahman Oshodi, while delivering the judgement at the Lagos High Court in Ikeja today, said he believed the testimony of the complainant as well as other witnesses who gave direct evidence that wasn’t contradicted at any point during the trial, despite the denials of the defendant.

“Rape carries a mandatory life imprisonment and sexual assault carries a jail term of three years, which can’t alleviate the harm on your victims,” said Justice Oshodi.
