Uduak Akpan, the suspected killer of job seeker Iniubong Umoren, has expressed belief that justice would be served on the murder case hanging over his head even if it will cost him his life.

Akpan said this while addressing journalists when he was paraded by the Akwa Ibom Police Command on Friday.

Asked whether he was ready to die if justice means taking his life, he said “yes” and nodded in affirmation.

“I believe that the commissioner of police is working with his men,” Uduak said.

“He has assured Nigerians, Akwa Ibom, and the whole world that justice will be served. So, you guys should just hold on.”

FIJ had reported how Umoren, a fresh graduate of the University of Uyo, was found dead 48 hours after she left home for a job interview scheduled by Akpan at a location in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.

According to the Police, Akpan later confessed to being a serial rapist, and also admitted to raping and killing the lady.
