Toyin Faizat, a resident of Lagos who promoted a programme in 2021 that would assist Nigerians in obtaining UK visas for a charge, has returned the N300,000 that she took from Lee Ibe.
Within 18 days of FIJ’s report on how she and Chidinma Adjanohoun collected Ibe’s N800,000 and only returned N420,000, Faizat repaid N100,000 and N200,000 on December 9 and 17 respectively.
Confirming the development to FIJ, Ibe said, “She has paid N300,000. It is because you were involved that I got my money back. It would not have happened without you.
“Thank you so much; you did a great job.”

Genesis
Lee met Chidinma in 2021, and the latter began handling the former’s flight itinerary. Both parties shared a healthy business relationship.
In late 2021, Chidinma shared Faizat’s advert, and Lee took interest. She and her friend paid Chidinma N800,000 to begin the process.
It lingered until 2022, and Lee decided to get a refund. Chidinma and Faizat failed to refund until the police got involved, and even then, Faizat only paid N420,000 on August 3, 2023.
On November 30, FIJ reported Faizat’s failure to pay the N380,000 balance, and nine days later, she paid N100,000. The second payment arrived on Sunday. Faizat made both payments to an officer in Adekunle Police Station for onward transmission to Lee.
