Abba Kyari, the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), has dragged the federal government to court, seeking freedom from detention, according to Daily Post.

Kyari was detained a week ago by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) over his involvement in a drug deal.

FIJ learned that Justice Inyang Eden Ekwo of the Abuja High Court would take the ex-parte application filed along with the suit any moment today.
