Oba Saliu Adetunji, the Olubadan of Ibadan, has passed away this morning.

The palace has not made an official announcement yet, but sources in the palace confirmed his death to FIJ.

It was gathered that the monarch died after battling a brief illness at the University of Ibadan College Hospital (UCH), Oyo State.

Oba Salihu, who died at 93, became the king of Ibadan on March 4, 2016.
