Damilola was invited by the PPRO on Wednesday after FIJ’s story revealing how Seedu, Oyeyemi’s friend, defrauded him.

Oyeyemi was angry he reported the case to the press. In an audio recording obtained by FIJ on Thursday, the PPRO was heard cursing Damilola and swearing to destroy his life.

Damilola managed to inform FIJ the PPRO had detained him. Insiders at Eleweran Police Station also confirmed the incident to FIJ.

The PPRO was said to be protecting Seedu, who collected N3 million from Damilola to get him a vehicle from Cotonou in 2021 but returned with neither the money nor a vehicle.

Following the story, Oyeyemi denied knowing Damilola. However, FIJ has an audio of the PPRO appealing to Damilola on Seedu’s behalf.
