The Federal Government on Tuesday said leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has been rearrested by security agencies.
He was said to have been arrested on Sunday.
According to Premium Times, Abubakar Malami, the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, disclosed this a at a joint press briefing with heads of the department of security services and the police.
Malami said Kanu would be taken to court to continue with his trial.
Kanu is facing charges bordering on treasonable felony instituted against him at the Federal High Court in Abuja in response to years of campaign for the independent Republic of Biafra through IPOB.
He was granted bail in April 2017 for health reasons but skipped bail after flouting some of the conditions given to him by the court.
