The National Economic Council (NEC) has suspended its decision to remove subsidy on petroleum products by June.
Zainab Ahmed, Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning, on Thursday, made this known to State House correspondents at the end of the NEC meeting chaired by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Ahmed said the decision to remove subsidy was shelved after NEC concluded that it would not be a favourable time to do so.
She also said NEC would continue deliberations on the matter and make more decisions in the future.
