Johnson Olusanya, a Lagos State resident, has expressed his frustrations with Dana Air’s refusal to refund his N190,000, an amount he spent on booking two flight tickets with the airline.

Olusanya told FIJ that despite meeting all the conditions for a refund, Dana Air had refused to pay him back his money.

The Lagos resident said that he had booked two Lagos-Enugu flight tickets for himself and his wife in July but could not use them because of the government’s suspension of the airline’s licence.

“Dana Air asked us to process our refund since we couldn’t use the flight tickets,” Olusanya told FIJ.

“We thought the airline would speed up the process so we could book another flight for the appointment we had. But they didn’t refund the money.”

He said that despite giving the airline the paperwork it needed to give him a refund, he had seen no result.

“The company said it would refund us, but we’ve been waiting ever since. They have asked me to be patient, but to what end?” Olusanya asked.

FIJ made several phone calls to Dana Air on the matter, but they were not answered. An email and a text message sent to the airline had also not been responded to at press time.
