16.10.2022 Featured ‘LUTH Added to My Pain, Slowed Down My Recovery’ — Accident Survivor Narrates Experience

A lady simply identified as Dimdim has said being in the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) for two months after surviving an accident added to her pain and even slowed down her recovery.

Dimdim said this in a throwback post on her Twitter handle on Saturday. She revealed that she had an accident in October 2021 and ended up with a fractured spine and scars on the face.

“I was applying anything to get rid of the scars on my face because I was so insecure about it,” she said.

“I was so scared that people were going to talk about my face and start asking questions. Sometimes I’d start crying, but I remind myself that God did a miracle keeping me alive.

“I went back to school with a walking aid, but thankfully I didn’t need it. I started to walk again after 3 weeks of physiotherapy without any surgery or walking aid.

FIJ contacted Dimdim for details, but she had not responded at press time.
