Ameerah Sufyan, an Abuja-based educator, on Tuesday sent out an SOS on Twitter saying she had been abducted at gunpoint with 16 others from different locations in Abuja.
In the tweet, Sufyan wrote: “We were abducted by people with police uniforms and a van from our houses from different parts of Abuja.
“We’re about 17 including three pregnant women and two little kids.”

Sufyan added that the abductees were being transported to unknown locations.
“There are four Yoruba men and two Fulani men. They divided us, we are seven here. The other vehicle, they said, will reach Ilorin and ours will reach Ibadan or Ikeja,” Sufyan said.
Sufyan’s abductors are currently unaware of her distress call through her phone. Her recent live location update placed her close to Kuru, along the Makurdi-Jos Road.
