Dayo Williams, an N-Power staff based in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has complained about the federal government’s refusal to pay his salary since January.

Williams told FIJ that, despite his dedication to work, the federal government has not fulfilled its part of the agreement, in terms of salary payment, since the turn of the year.

Williams, who joined the scheme in October 2021, said he has not been able to meet his financial obligations because of the issue.

“As a dedicated staff member of N-Power since inception, I should get my reward. But since January, my payment portal has only indicated that my allowance is processing. There is no sign of change,” he said.

“From delay in payments to inconsistent mode of payment, it is obvious that N-Power has some issues. Some blamed the issue on banks while others say it is from the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs.

“All I want is for the government to step in and assist in resolving the issue. I have some other colleagues who are also affected by this.”

FIJ was also able gather a few complaints made by a few other N-Power staff on Twitter.
