Salami Odeyemi, a retired civil servant resident in Ondo, has accused Keystone Bank of making an unauthorised deduction of N56,000 from his account.
Odeyemi told FIJ that the fraudulent deduction started on February 23, when he noticed that N6,000 had left his account.
“My son was not around when Keystone Bank first debited me, so I waited till he returned. On returning, we both went to the bank to find out why my money had vanished from my account. This was when I learned that N56,000 had vanished from my pension account,” Odeyemi told FIJ.

“The customer care agent said Sporty Pay had my details. I asked them why I did not receive a text message for the many unauthorised deductions and they could not answer.“
He said the bank claimed that he had compromised his card details and thus made his account vulnerable to fraudsters.
Odeyemi, who hoped to get his money back, insisted that he did not know what Sporty Pay was.
FIJ emailed Keystone Bank to find out what they were doing to resolve the matter, but they had not responded to the mail at press time.
