Usman Baba, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), has ordered that all police officers conducting stop and search on the road must wear the approved police uniform.

Muyiwa Adejobi, the acting public relations officer, force headquarters, Abuja, disclosed this in a series of tweets on Friday.

According to Adejobi, the uniform must bear the officer’s name and force number for easy identification.

“The IGP has ordered that every policeman standing on the road for stop and search, check point, or/and patrol duties must be on the approved uniform for easy identification and authority,” he wrote.
