Kazeem Ajewole, a jeweller resident in Niger State, has narrated how Simplified Credit, a platform that aids the growth of small businesses, failed on a business contract and also refused to initiate a refund.

Speaking with FIJ on Thursday, Ajewole stated that he had signed up to use the firm’s services to purchase a standard business plan worth N21,500.

“On November 30, I made a purchase worth N21,500 for a standard business plan. I paid N20,000 for the product and N1,500 for VAT,” he told FIJ.

“On December 3, I called their customer care lines to file a complaint and also sent them a mail. They promised to look into it and even requested my username and password.”

Ajewole stated that they had subscribed to the plan because of their instant business plan service which would be useful for a meeting with an investor.

“Our main reason for subscribing to their service was their promise of an instant business plan,” he said.

“Till now, Simplified Credit has not picked my calls nor responded to my emails. We have sent to them that the major purpose of the business plan has been defeated and now we want our refund.”

In response to FIJ’s email, Simplified Credit stated that while they were unable to meet the customer’s deadline, they had an understanding with him.

“Please note that while we replied to the customer’s email and calls, we were unable to meet his deadline for resolution. Nonetheless, we have an understanding with the client and will continue to communicate in this manner,” the company said.
