Armed bandits have killed one person and abducted Amos Mangbon, the Rector of the School of Statistics, Manchok, in the Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

According to the PUNCH, the terrorists kidnapped Mangbon and a lady on Monday.

“The terrorists stormed the community at night and killed one person, while a lady was kidnapped, including the rector of the Federal School of Statistics,” a source was quoted to have said.

News of Mangbon’s abduction is emerging a few weeks after two ad hoc workers in charge of the distribution of mosquito nets were killed in the same local government area.

John Auta, a resident of Kaura, told reporters that the terrorists stormed the community with sophisticated weapons, shooting sporadically until someone sustained an injury.

Auta complained about how some communities in the area had been under attack from armed assailants. He said that security operatives were not doing enough to rescue the area from repeated attacks.
