Following an announcement made by Elon Musk on Sunday, Twitter unveiled its new visual identity on Monday. The unveiling was followed with a series of reactions from users all over the world.
Now, instead of the bright little blue bird, the app now takes on a darker X-shape identity.
In one of his tweets after the unveiling of the logo, Elon explained that ‘X’ represents a change to “embody the imperfections in us all that make us unique”.
The CEO of Twitter, Linda Yaccarino, further explained that the logo change represented another chance for the company to make a big impression.

Linda also suggested that the rebranding would usher in an expansion of Twitter’s functions. She stated that the possibilities were limitless, echoing Elon’s vision to create an “everything app”.
“X is the future state of unlimited interactivity – centered in audio, video, messaging, payments/banking – creating a global marketplace for ideas, goods, services, and opportunities,” she said.
Twitter No Longer Exists
As against the popular belief, Elon had hinted the rebranding of Twitter and the launch of ‘X’ in October 2022.
He tweeted, shortly after purchasing the app, that “Buying Twitter is an accelerant to creating ‘X’, the everything app.”
He also merged and replaced Twitter as a company with X Corp in April, 2023.
The X Holding Corps is considered to be the future parent company of all of Elon musk’s companies, including Tesla and SpaceX.
