A 4-storey building in the Dosumu area of Lagos Island has gone up in flames.

The cause of the fire outbreak is yet to be made public. However, public firefighters are currently battling to put it out.

The building is located in an area heavily packed with shops, stalls and large structures.

In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), black smoke billows out of the affected building while the emergency responders position their equipment at critical spots to carry out their duty.
