Labour Party supporters were attacked by thugs on their way to the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) with Peter Obi, the party’s presidential candidate, in Lagos State.

In one of the videos seen by FIJ, a victim says, “They came with two buses. When we were passing, they came down from the bus and started attacking us.”

“It was an unbranded bus. Two paragon buses. They were just normal touts with cutlass and guns.”

The young man was wearing a white vest and could be seen with a fan and a shirt branded with the Labour Party’s presidential and vice presidential candidates. The shirt was sullied with blood.

In another video, a man in a Labour Party branded T-shirt says, “Because I wear Labour Party cloth, see wetin them do. Because I wear Labour Party cloth”. His shirt is torn and his car vandalised.

Another voice says in the video, “They are attacking everybody. If you are wearing Obi…”

Many were injured and robbed of their personal properties, and several vehicles were vandalised.

“We just had to run for our lives,” another victim said, in one of the videos.
