The Delta State Police Command and vigilantes have discovered the corpses of three policemen who went missing on February 25, FIJ has gathered.
During a search operation in Ohoror community in Ughelli North LGA of the state on Tuesday, the search operation found the slain policemen and three other bodies under a bridge.
This search followed prompting by a local who found the bodies while attempting to perform some traditional rites.
FIJ earlier reported how the force deployed over 20 policemen to search for and rescue three kidnapped policemen. This search party ran into an ambush and three of them were kidnapped while the rest escaped.

These three were identified as the ones discovered on Tuesday, while the previously abducted policemen remain missing.
When FIJ spoke with a relative of one of the slain policemen, she told us her family retrieved his body from the Mariere Central Hospital in Ughelli and buried him on Wednesday.
FIJ called Bright Edafe, spokesman for the Delta State Police Command, but the call wasn’t answered.
