20.11.2022 Featured 5 Men ‘Gang-Rape’ Nigerian Woman in Cyprus

An unidentified Nigerian woman has been reportedly gang-raped by five Nigerian men at an asylum centre in Kokkinotrimithia, Cyprus.

In-Cyprus reported that the Nigerian woman was sexually assaulted by the men at Pournara reception centre on Tuesday.

The woman, whose document review is almost completed, was recently issued a document releasing her from the centre.

Besides action being taken to investigate the rape claim, the incident has urged competent services to start seeking accommodation away from the asylum centre for the young woman.

Also, the five Nigerian men are being questioned to ascertain the truth of the incident.
