Dowen College, Lekki, Lagos, remains shut on Tuesday as other schools in the state resume second term academic activities.
As an investigation into the death of Sylvester Oromoni, a 12-year-old student of the college, proceeds, the Lagos State Government continues to keep the school shut.

FIJ can confirm that there were no students in sight, and the school’s gates were closed on Tuesday morning.
The Lagos State Government ordered the school’s closure on December 3, three days after Oromoni mysteriously passed away following alleged maltreatment by a cult group in the school.

An autopsy conducted on his body revealed that he died as a result of “lung injury due to chemical intoxication in a background of blunt force trauma”.
FIJ gathered that the school will not resume until the ongoing investigation into Sylvester’s death reaches an advanced stage.
