First Bank has made a reversal of N10,000 to John Ameh, an Abuja-based businessman, whose money was deducted after a failed attempt to use his Zenith Bank card on a First Bank ATM on July 15.

Ameh told FIJ he received his money on Wednesday.

“I saw the First Bank reversal on Wednesday morning. Thank you so much for your effort, FIJ. I am very grateful,” he said.

FIJ earlier reported how Ameh, while returning from a journey, stopped at a First Bank ATM to withdraw some money so he could get more fuel for his car but couldn’t get anything out.

He waited for more than one month, but there was no reversal.

Ameh stated that he went to Zenith Bank on July 18 to file a complaint but was told the dispute would be resolved in three to seven business days.

The businessman said that the promise was always repeated anytime he filed a complaint but nothing was done until FIJ intervened.
