Evelyn, a Lagos resident, has recounted her frustrating experience with Azman Air after the Nigerian airline cancelled her and her fiancé’s flight without refunding their N120,300.
Evelyn, who prefers to be identified by her first name only, told FIJ that despite numerous attempts, they have been unable to secure a refund from Azman Air.
The couple had initially booked a flight on January 26 for a February trip from Abuja to Birnin-Kebbi but, surprisingly, Azman Air didn’t notify them of the flight cancellation until the day of departure.
Evelyn said that, rather than complaining, they decided to book another airline to Birnin-Kebbi for the event which took them out of Lagos.

Evelyn stated, “Some of Azman Air team members assured us that, since the airline had cancelled the flight, a refund would be processed within five working days.”
“My fiancé filled out a refund form, and we continued with our travel plans. Ever since then, we’ve only continued to renew our hope for a refund.”
Evelyn explained that her fiancé had sent numerous emails, made several calls to Azman Air’s customer care and sent direct messages to their social media accounts, but all their efforts have yielded no positive results.
“N120,300 is a substantial sum of money to forfeit,” she protested.
“We are tired of the back-and-forth. Our work schedules have been extremely tight, leaving us with limited options. They should simply process our refund.”
FIJ attempted to contact Azman Air using the phone numbers provided on their website’s contact section but both lines were switched off. There had been no response to an email sent to both their information and customer care email addresses at press time.
