A recent downpour in Kano has caused the collapse of an uncompleted building in a secondary school, killing one student and injuring others in the process.
The building, which collapsed in Boys Secondary School, Kaura Goje, had been abandoned for over six years, Daily Trust reported.

Mustapha Salisu, the victim who died in the collapse, was pronounced dead on arrival at a hospital he was rushed to.
An eyewitness stated that there had been concerns over the state of the abandoned building.

When contacted by FIJ, Haruna Abdullahi, Kano State police spokesman, said, “I will confirm the incident and get back to you.”
