Chidera Johnson (not real name) a Warri-based content creator, has narrated how Ewroh Ufuoma of Poosh Surprise, an Instagram vendor, refused to deliver her exact order after she paid N24,000.
Johnson told FIJ she had paid N24,000 to Ufuoma for a surprise balloon package on December 23.
“I made inquiries for a surprise package from Poosh Surprise on Instagram. I liked what I saw and she told me it cost N24,000,” Johnson told FIJ.
“I pleaded with her to let me pay half before delivery and then the balance afterwards, but she refused. She insisted I pay in full, and I sent the money to her alongside other details.”
The content creator stated that when the surprise was due to be delivered, the vendor told her she had exhausted the stock she ordered for.
“On the day of delivery, I was on Instagram around 2 am when she said she couldn’t give me what I wanted because the balloons I ordered had been exhausted. She also said they it got bad,” said Johnson.
“I told her there was nothing I could do to help since I had paid her in full for the surprise.
“Surprisingly, she kept insisting she wouldn’t deliver the balloons that made me patronise her in the first place. I was so pissed that I told her I no longer wanted the package.”
Johnson said when it was time for delivery, Ufuoma delivered the exact thing she had rejected.
“When the package arrived, she sent me the exact opposite of what I requested and I told her I didn’t want the package anymore. She said she couldn’t change it, which made me feel hurt and cheated.
“She was still insisting that she didn’t have that, and the major reason I patronised her was because of that particular balloon.”
Johnson added that the vendor’s nonchalant attitude, especially her refusal to take back her balloon, pissed her off and ruined the surprise.
“I was almost in tears because I had spent a lot of money on the surprise and she had refused to say anything whatsoever. She even made it look like she had taken advantage of me. She was just rude and arrogant.”
When FIJ contacted Poosh Surprise on WhatsApp, the vendor denied sending the wrong package to Johnson and preferred to communicate with her client.
“I don’t know what she told you, but I didn’t give her anything defective. If she wants to reach out, she should. I didn’t also ignore her calls or messages because she didn’t drop any,” she said.
“Tell her to reach out to us if she wants to communicate instead of telling lies to you.”
