Dorcas Eyitayo, a nurse based in Ibadan, has detailed how Commy Couture, an Instagram fashion vendor, went silent two months after she paid in full for three pieces of clothing.
The nurse told FIJ that she made a partial payment of N22,000 to Commy Couture for three female dresses on October 3, which the vendor confirmed immediately.
On October 19, Eyitayo contacted the vendor and paid the remaining N8,000, but this would not guarantee her goods getting to her.
She said she called Commy Couture on October 26 to know why she had not received her orders but the vendor said she had sent the goods via a dispatch.
Realising she had not sent the vendor any address, Eyitayo called the vendor and asked her which address she delivered the goods to.
“She said it was a mistake, adding that she had not delivered the goods. That day, she asked for my address and assured me a dispatch would bring my orders,” Eyitayo told FIJ.

“I called Commy Couture on November 2, after I realised I had not heard from them. She asked that I resend pictures of the dresses I picked. I was so angry that I told them not to bother but send me my money.
“I sent my account number to Commy Couture but she asked that I give her some time. I gave her until November 12, but it’s been one story or another. As of now, I have yet to receive my dresses, and she no longer responds to my messages.”
When FIJ called Commy Couture on the issue, she asked that this reporter send her a text on WhatsApp. As of press time, over 48 hours after this reporter’s WhatsApp text, she had not responded.
