An Abuja-based technologist has accused Azman Air, a Nigerian airline company, of refusing to refund his N121,518 six weeks after cancelling his flight.
The technologist, who pleaded anonymity, told FIJ his request for a refund came after the airline cancelled his flight a day before departure.
He stated that he booked an Abuja-Birkin-Kebbi flight for himself and his mother in March and was to fly on March 26 but did not travel with the airline.

“Azman Air cancelled the flight due to operational reasons on March 25. I immediately had to book another flight with a different airline company because we had to be in Kebbi on March 26,” he told FIJ.
The technologist said that when he arrived at his destination, he called Azman Air for a refund.
The respondent, he said, told him to download and fill out their refund form and then send it to an email address on their website.
“I did all their call representative asked me to do, but it has been over six weeks now, and the company has not refunded my money,” he said.

He said he went to the Azman Air office in Birnin Kebbi on March 30 but they asked him to go to their office in Abuja.
“When I arrived in Abuja four weeks ago, I went to their office but was told the only office that could attend to my complaints was in Kano, their head office,” he stated.
“It now feels like an offence for booking a flight with Azman Airline. I did not cancel my flight. They did it themselves. So, I can’t understand why I can’t get a refund for my money.
“I wrote to the company more than once, but they would still not refund my money.”
When FIJ called Azman Air for comments, their line did not connect. The airline had also not responded to an email sent to them at press time.
