President Bola Tinubu has appointed Jim Obazee, former Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRC), as a special investigator.
Obazee will be charged with investigating the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and related entities, The Cable reported.

The move came a month after the President suspended Godwin Emefiele, the CBN governor.
Emefiele is in court facing charges of illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, and is in custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) in violation of a court order.
