A man who said Bola Tinubu, Nigeria’s president-elect, could not be sworn in has been deboarded from a plane by security personnel.
In a video obtained by FIJ, while the passenger makes the remark, a female attendant tells him he needs to leave the plane.
“Tinubu cannot be sworn-in,” the man says.
“You need to leave the plane. There are security officers there,” the woman responds.
In another video, the man is bundled up and dragged out of the plane by security personnel.
“Obidients, you are here. I am naked,” the man shouts.
“Take him out. Hold his hand so that he will not take anything,” says one of the officers.
This followed a series of social media protests against the controversial emergence of the president-elect, who was the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the February 25 presidential election.
Tinubu was announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) around 4 am after an election marred by several irregularities.
