Justice Ikegbulam, an entrepreneur in Owerri, Imo State, has accused Dana Air of giving him the silent treatment more than a year after he requested for his N68,400.

The entrepreneur told FIJ that he met the airline company’s requirements for a refund but the company would not tell him the status of his request.

He said that he missed a return flight from Abuja to Owerri in April 2021, but rather than request a refund, he rescheduled his flight for Abuja from Owerri.

The flight was scheduled to depart on May 6, 2021, but for some unknown reasons, the airline company rescheduled it.

“On the day I was to leave Owerri for Abuja, I realised they had rescheduled the flight for Abuja. In frustration, I immediately requested a refund,” he told FIJ.

However, since he made it clear he wanted a refund, Dana Air has failed to fulfil its part of the bargain, he said.

According to him, the company has not attempted to refund him despite his calls and emails.

“How can they refuse to give me my money? N68,400 isn’t chicken feed. They once assured me they would get back to me in May last year, but up to date, my money is still hanging,” he said.

When FIJ called Dana Air via one of its lines, a call representative apologised for the delay, stating that she had escalated the issue. She also assured our reporter that Ikegbulam would receive his money.
