Access Bank has made a reversal of N20,000 to Adisa Kamaldeen, the businessman whose account was erroneously debited on April 14 and June 30.

Kamaldeen confirmed to FIJ that he had received the N20,000 deducted from his account on April 14 as a result of a dispense error.

“Thank you very much. I have received N20,000 of the first debit. I am expecting the remaining N20,000 soon. I appreciate all the support I am getting from FIJ,” he said.

FIJ had reported how Kamaldeen used his Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) card in an Access Bank ATM on different occasions and was debited despite the ATM’s failure to dispense his money.

Kamaldeen contacted the GTB and the bank told him they would contact Access Bank. Later, the GTB told Kamaldeen that Access Bank said there was no dispense error and advised Kamaldeen to request for CCTV footage.

FIJ made several calls to Access Bank to know when Kamaldeen would receive the other N20,000 but they were not answered. A message sent to the bank had also not been responded to at press time.
